Biography

originally from St. Andrews, Scotland, a self taught composer of works in primarily traditional forms such as the symphony or string quartet though with an increasing number of fairytales and similar or sacred works for voices . Style is varied but tend to the late romantic. The greatest influence on my work is Janáček and in orchestral works quite often Bruckner is to the fore, though there are certainly also post-romantic influences. It's divided into five "reels", namely Orchestral, Chamber, Vocal/Choral and one each with the most recent works for quick access, and another of a selection of my own favourites all of which can be accessed from here as follows:
