Biography

Amine Bouzaher is an award-winning Algerian-American composer, producer and artist.

Between 2016 and 2020, Amine toured and performed with I M U R, a Vancouver-based alt-RnB group with over 10 million streams across multiple platforms. The group performed on the main stages of Bumbershoot Music Festival, Shambhala, Bass Coast, M for Montreal, and Halifax Pop Explosion. They were awarded the International Songwriter's Prize (2016) and Best Electronic/Dance Artist at the Western Canadian Music Awards (2019) and have had primary sync placements on shows like Snowpiercer, Wynona Earp, Workin’ Moms, Good Trouble and more.

In 2023, Amine was selected to attend the Slaight Music Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. From 2023 to 2025, he has worked on over 35 commercial, short, and feature-length film scores and is the only composer in his cohort to have a short film premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (2024 – The Best). Most recently, he was awarded a Leo Award (2025) for his feature-length score on the documentary Fairy Creek.
