Biography

Daniella Nassar is a Cypriot-Lebanese award-winning composer, pianist, cellist, and orchestrator based in London, UK.

Her work spans film, television, ballet, contemporary dance, and concert music, blending classical foundations with folk influences, fragmented textures, and electronically manipulated sounds to create distinctive hybrid orchestral sound worlds. Alongside her work as a composer, she is an active performer, soloist, and session musician, having appeared internationally in Cyprus, the UK, Italy, and Greece at venues including Wigmore Hall, the Old Royal Naval College, and the Cutty Sark.

Daniella’s scores for both short and feature films have been screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals, including HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, and the Cleveland International Film Festival. In 2026, she was selected for the inaugural Marché du Film – Cannes Film Festival programme Composers on the Rise, recognising emerging voices in screen music. The same year, she joined the Alliance for Women Film Composers (AWFC) Mentoring Programme under the mentorship of acclaimed composer Martin Phipps.

Her concert and educational work includes commissions from the National Children’s Orchestra and the Dysart Colliery Silver Brass Band, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and contributions to the ABRSM graded examination syllabus performed worldwide. Daniella has also been a finalist in the Oticons International Film Scoring Competition and the FMF Young Talent Award, with one of her concert works recorded in Lusławice, Poland. In 2026 she joined Steinway as a Young Steinway Artist.

She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with First-Class Honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she was awarded the Silver Medal for the Keyboard Department, and a Master’s degree with Distinction in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music. She is currently preparing her debut album, with plans to record with the London Contemporary Orchestra.
