Philip White is a multiple BMI Award–winning composer whose work spans feature films, television series, interactive media, and the concert stage. His music is known for its emotional clarity, thematic strength, and stylistic range, allowing him to move fluidly between intimate character-driven storytelling and large-scale cinematic worlds.
In film, White has composed scores for projects including Spa Weekend (TBD 2026), A Madea Homecoming, The Loud House Movie, Jexi, A Madea Family Funeral, Nobody’s Fool, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, and Alex & Me.
His work has been recognized with industry honors, including a Hollywood Music in Media Award nomination for Best Original Score for an Animated Film.
On television, White has contributed music to a wide range of high-profile series, including The Winchesters, Supernatural, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, Lost in Space, Ray Donovan, The Bachelor, What/If, Bates Motel, Agent Carter, When We Rise, Revolution, and Dallas. His long-running involvement with Supernatural spanned the series's full fifteen-season run and helped define its musical identity.
White’s work in interactive media includes music for major video game franchises such as James Bond: Quantum of Solace, Starhawk, Space Miner Wars, and The Sims 3: Pets. His ability to adapt cinematic composition to interactive storytelling environments has made him a sought-after voice in the gaming space as well.
Beyond screen media, White is also an accomplished concert composer. His chamber and choral works have been performed by ensembles including Salastina and the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and his music has been presented at international events such as the International Film Music Festival in Úbeda, Spain.
Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Philip White studied classical and flamenco guitar before pursuing formal training in both drama and music. He earned degrees from Tufts University and the New England Conservatory of Music, followed by graduate studies in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television at the University of Southern California. He is also an alumnus of the Sundance Institute Feature Film Composers Lab.
Philip White is based in Los Angeles, where he continues to compose across film, television, games, and live performance while collaborating with filmmakers, studios, and artists worldwide.
