Born in Argentina (1988) Micaela Carballo graduated as a Music Composer and Choral Conductor from the University of La Plata, Buenos Aires. In 2015 Carballo was awarded a full scholarship by Fundación Carolina in Spain, to complete a Master's degree in Film Scoring at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya-Barcelona. As the final work of the program, she recorded the music for the animation film Dubicel by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra. She won numerous awards for best original music at film festivals in New York, Buenos Aires and the UK. Her music was recorded by the Hollywood Studio Symphony at Warner Bros. Studios. She attended the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive workshop and the Society of Composers and Lyricists mentoring program for composers in New York. Her score Dubicel was premiered at the Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires. She composed the original music for the short films Dubicel, HB, Time for Nostalgia, Match Point, Las Suecas, Rojo Jungla, among others.
