
Wikus van der Hoven is a composer for film and videogames. Having studied film scoring at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, USA and UCLA in LA, USA he worked in the Los Angeles film scoring industry for half a decade in studios such as Remote Control, Blue Bonsai and Cavallari learning from top professionals in the Hollywood industry. He is also an orchestrator and arranger having studied with legendary orchestrators Steven and Jack Smalley as well as Jon Kull (iRobot, Avatar, Migration, Hunger Games). He additionally writes for musical theater and recently completed work on a new production of a murder mystery titled "Drop dead".
His style incorporates (and blends) electronic elements and contemporary sounds with traditional orchestration to create a custom cinematic soundscape for each project.
