Hi! Welcome to my reels.
I'm Nicole Lee, a composer from Taiwan specializing in music for films, animations, and stage performances.
Music has always been my sanctuary, but it wasn't until my undergraduate years that I realized I wanted to pursue it professionally. That journey led me to become a SCL scholarship recipient in the Master's Program in Film Scoring at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
My compositional signature blends the harmonic richness of jazz with the coloristic depth of impressionist music. Although my style is very effective when depicting subtle emotions, I also enjoy applying it to other genres of films in creative and unexpected ways. For example, I am currently working on my final project about how jazz idioms can underscore tension and psychological complexity in thriller scores.
I find greater fulfillment in taking on creative challenges than in staying within the comfort of the style I know best. That’s why I enjoy working on a wide range of diverse projects—ones that push me to stay versatile, adaptable, and constantly evolving as a composer.
