Biography

TOBY HUELIN is a British media composer. His music has featured in the Emmy award-winning series UNITED SHADES OF AMERICA (CNN), the documentary SUBNORMAL: A BRITISH SCANDAL (BBC One) – which is executive produced by Steve McQueen – and an international advertising campaign for internet brand HONEY.

Toby's work is regularly heard on national primetime TV and recent series include PANORAMA (BBC One), MASTERCHEF (BBC One), STRICTLY COME DANCING (BBC One) and DISPATCHES (Channel 4). His media compositions have been recorded in venues including Abbey Road and Maida Vale Studios and are distributed worldwide by labels including Universal, BMG and Warner/Chappell.

Toby studied at the University of Oxford and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, recently completing a PhD in Screen Music at the University of Leeds. He has also studied TV Scoring at New York University with composers including Sean Callery (24, Homeland) and Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans). Toby is a composer-member of BAFTA Connect and an alumnus of the Edinburgh TV Festival's Talent Schemes.
