Biography

Thomas J. Peters is an award-winning Film, TV, and Video Game composer, hailing from Portland, OR and resides in Los Angeles, CA. He discovered his life's passion for playing & writing music from a young age.

As a seasoned industry freelancer, Thomas's works are among a reputable array of films & video games within his resume. While spanning entries of films in the Cannes Film Festival, winning 'Best Score in a Short Film' at Filmquest Festival, scoring a film that won 'Best Horror' at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, and had entries in the Pasadena Film Festival, Horror Haus Film Festival, Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, and many others; Thomas J. Peters continually seeks out innovative music composition with an emphasis on narrative story telling.

A successful graduate of a music composition degree at the University of Oregon, Thomas attributes his knowledge & diverse techniques to a wide range of influences, ranging from classical orchestration, ambient minimalism, electronics, jazz arranging, as well as the exploration of experimental music and its application to the modern film industry.
