Biography

Tim Verstegen is a Netherlands-based composer specializing in film, television, and interactive media. Recently, he composed the original score for the documentary Broertje is Verdwaald, which premiered on MAX NPO2 earlier this year. He is also part of René Merkelbach’s “Audiocult” team, contributing to the multi-immersive film La Leyenda del Titanic, which premiered in Madrid in September 2024.

Currently, Tim is working on his first two albums for a production music company in London. Since October 2024, he has been part of MassiveLab, the global talent pool of Massive Music.

In addition, Tim collaborates with Triumph Audio, a Los Angeles-based sample library company. By contributing to their latest releases and developing virtual instruments independently, he offers a unique and tailored approach to every project.

Tim earned his Master of Fine Arts in Professional Media & Games Composition from Chichester University in England in the summer of 2024.

With a broad professional background as a percussionist and orchestra conductor, combined with his open-minded artistic vision and technical expertise, Tim brings sharp musical insight and a diverse set of creative tools to every production. His compositions amplify storytelling, crafting unique and immersive narrative experiences with authentic character. With this, he enhances every story with a unique and tailor-made score, ranging from organic/orchestral to fully electronic, and from friendly, emotional to mystery and dark action.
