Tim is a Netherlands-based composer specializing in original scores for film, television & games and was nominated for a  Music in Media Award.

With roots in percussion, Tim has a deep understanding of rhythm and timbre, and a unique approach to sound. Tim adds something truly innovative to each story, such as a newly developed virtual instrument based on his vibraphone covered with aluminum foil. With access to more then hundred instruments that he can play and manipulate, Tim is the creative partner and multi-instrumentalist to elevate your narrative to the next level.

Tim collaborates with Triumph Audio, a Los Angeles-based sample library company. By contributing to their latest releases and developing virtual instruments in his own studio, he offers a unique and tailored approach to every project.

His latest credits include composing the original score for the NTR Uur van de Wolf documentaryfilm Blieve Loepe and Milou’s Strijd Gaat Door, which is the best viewed documentary film on Dutch Television in 2025 & the Dutch entry for the Emmy Awards (documentary) in 2026. As part of René Merkelbach’s Audiocult.nl team, Tim contributes to projects for theme park De Efteling  & the multi-immersive film Cleopatra, which premiered in Madrid in September 2025. The previous multi-immersive film, La Leyenda del Titanic, received multiple accolades — including three Telly Awards — to which Tim also contributed on behalf of the Audiocult.nl team.

Tim earned his Master of Fine Arts in Professional Media & Game Composition from the University of Chichester in England in the summer of 2024 and was nominated for the Buma Talent Award 2025. He was also selected as one of the few participants for the London Sync Mission, organized by Buma Music in Motion, where he visited major industry players such as the BBC and SKY TV. The jury in London praised his work, stating: “Let’s go with him—he sounds ready for the next level.”

As a freelance percussionist, Tim performs with major orchestras such as the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he works as a session musician for various composers.

Tim also works as a conductor and has led orchestras such as the Brașov Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Sinfonietta during international masterclasses.
