Sweet Sexy OceanAlexander Finden2013Sweet, Sexy Ocean is a documentary film by director Alexander Finden about a San Diegan uni diver (Peter Halmay). The film focuses on conservation, food, and Mr. Halmay’s unusual life and personality. We composed original music, producing an ethereal, dreamy soundtrack appropriate to the topic and footage. We worked closely with the director to accentuate the ocean theme, particularly during underwater shots. Sweet Sexy Ocean won the award for best original music at the Sedona State Film Festival. There was also a digital EP release of the soundtrack.
KuwanAlexander Finden2014Kuwan is a documentary film featuring the wild spaces of Northern Arizona, directed by Alexander Finden. It features original music by Privet. We collaborated with composer David Koerner, mixing our sounds and effects with his traditional string arrangement. Kuwan contains no dialogue or narration, relying on music to complement and enhance the visuals of Arizona’s natural beauty.
Eternity The MovieSidecar Productions2014Eternity: The Movie is a feature film directed by Ian Thorpe and produced by Eric Staley. It tells the story of two hapless musicians searching for love and pop stardom, while skewering 1980s style and culture. We had the honor to work on sound design, foley, and short sections of music. Dubbing in guitar and saxophone (the main characters’ instruments of choice) and matching them visually to the scenes. Eternity The Movie won Best Feature Film at the San Diego Film Awards.
The Other SideJoe McGovern2016The Other Side is the product of a trip around the country Joe, the creator of the film, took with his dog Charlie. Joe had a hunch that how angry we are at each other politically is caused, at least in part, by a lack of understanding. To see if he was right, Joe sold his car, bought an old van, took a break from pursuing the acting thing in Los Angeles and travelled around the US interviewing conservatives, trying to understand “the other side.” The Other Side: A Liberal Democrat Explores Conservative America is the product of that journey. This is a demonstration of dialogue & music that Lonely Sea Productions can provide for film.

Warm FeetAli Nidzgorski2017Warm Feet is a short film Directed by Ali Nidzgorski. A young girl sees lava approaching on the ground in the waiting room of a doctor's office, so she prepares for the worst. The gentleman sitting nearby believes it is all in her imagination… at first. It’s a quirky film based off of what we imagine vs. what’s true. All music & audio mix by Lonely Sea Productions.
Toni The TriangleAli Nidzgorski2018Toni the Triangle is a film about fitting in, the lengths we go to try to fit in, empathy, the lac there of, & ultimately finding where we truly belong. All of these themes are packaged together nicely in this quirky & eerily charming short film! Lonely Sea Productions provided all music, sound design, mixed, & mastered all audio.
