Jenna Kavouras is a composer based in Minnesota. Classically trained, she is known by her peers for creating evocative, sweeping orchestral scores.
Jenna’s video game music cues have been described by Composer and Producer Jason Graves as “fantastic, unique writing combined with beautiful mixes and interesting musical points of view.” Jenna spent several weeks with Graves studying interactive music for games and advanced topics such as managing production workflows and syncing music to gameplay. Jenna remains a student of Graves.
Jenna was a top 5 finalist of the 2024 Indie Film Music Contest, scoring the short film SHIFT, written and directed by Chen Sing Yap. She created a brooding and atmospheric cue that highlighted the challenges of the Pandemic. Jenna’s work for orchestra, “Uncharted Waters” won the Gustavus Music for Peace Composition Prize in 2022. Her work for wind ensemble, "Continuum," premiered in Las Vegas in early 2024.
Jenna received her Bachelor of the Arts in Music from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN in 2022. She toured both nationally and internationally with the Gustavus Wind Orchestra and Gustavus Jazz Ensemble, performing in the saxophone section.
