Biography

Deeba Montazeri is a New York City based composer. Having a passion for film and classical music, she came to New York to complete her film studies and with a background in music, she pursued a career in film and theater scoring.

She has had her pieces played on the BBC and has received notable praise in the New York Times for her score of Television (2023)

Her recent work for Samantha Herrera's Saint Vegas (2024) as well as Corbin Rowell's A Raven's Call (2024) was very well received in film festivals around the U.S.
Deeba works as a media composer while also completing her studies in Advanced Orchestration for Film and TV.

She also works as a string arranger with renowned producer Robert L. Smith, to collaborate on the albums of singer/songwriters and worked on an acclaimed museum exhibition where she collaborated with a Ukrainian male choir for the Canadian Museum of Human Rights

Earlier this year, Deeba completed Kylie Rohrer's Flashback (2025) as well as Denisse Juliana's Donde Todo Empieza (2025). 
She is currently in post production for Nicolas Chae's Elias (2026) and Kevin Schreck's Animation Mavericks (2026)
