

Rahul Shah is a Los Angeles based composer for Film and Media. His credits include Emmy-nominated film The Interpreters, Cheat, Open Your Eyes, King of Beasts, Ursula Von Rydingsvard: Into Her Own and American TAP.
In addition to his own freelance projects, during his undergraduate studies he interned at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, Henry Jackman's Sacred Tiger Music in Santa Monica and assisted Emmy Nominated Producer Simon Taufique in New York. Rahul has had his music recorded by orchestras in concert halls and scoring stages such as AIR Studios, Budapest and Lincoln Center.
He has been mentored in studio by Multi-Grammy Award winning Producer Bill Hare and studied under Sean McMahon, Lucio Godoy and Alfonso Conde. Before post graduate studies at Berklee, Rahul was classically trained in Theory, Composition and Arranging. As a teenager he would transcribe multiple scores or arrangements a week by ear and then program them into Cubase. Rahul is a multi-instrumentalist proficient in Piano, Guitar, Percussion, Voice and enjoys experimenting with strings, winds, brass and percussive instruments. He is a proud member of BMI and the Society of Composers and Lyricists.
Rahul holds an associates degree in Information Systems from Seneca College, Bachelors degree in Music Composition from McNally Smith College of Music and Masters degree in Film Scoring from Berklee.
