Biography
Camilo Forero is a Colombian composer who was classically trained from a young age and later developed a passion for jazz, pop, rock and world music.
Recent work includes the Emmy®-nominated score for Netflix’s Beckham, which also earned a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) nomination in 2023. His versatility is reflected in a wide array of projects: from the synth-heavy score for Mojang’s Minecraft Live (2023, 2024) and Minecraft Jurassic World Adventures, to the sweeping soundscapes of Solar System (BBC) and Hollywood Black (MGM+), to the island textures of Sky’s Islands: Nature’s Wild Laboratories, and the bold, experimental tones of Earthstorm (Netflix).
Camilo won multiple international scoring competitions, including Best Soundtrack for a Short Film from the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá. He also gained industry experience working as an assistant engineer for Grammy®-winning engineer Gustavo Borner at Igloo Music, and as a synthestrator for video game composer Penka Kouneva.
