Biography

Eduardo López Is an Award Winner Composer & Orchestrator for Videogames, Film/TV and Concert Music.

He has worked primarily on the game industry on videogames released for PC and Nintendo like the turn-based action JRPG Grand Guilds and upcoming Dark Fantasy Open-World Action Adventure Sands of Aura, for which he won an award at the Global Music Awards.

His main focus on games is working on interactive adaptive music and linear story-based games. He has also worked on the British film Stan-Up, directed by Kai Undrell and on the movie Whispers from the Grave by director Sohail A. Hassan.

A Classically-Trained Composer, He Studied at CIEM (México) where he Studied Composition with José Julio Díaz, Enrico Chapela, and Victor Rasgado, while at the same time studying Violin Performance with Boris Dinnerschtein, later on, he received his Licentiate of Music Composition form Trinity College London, awarded with Distinction. He also took Private Studies in Music Composition and Film Scoring with Composer Ryan Leach (Los Angeles). He then studied Orchestration and Composition with Alan Belkin (Canada) and finished studying advanced composition, counterpoint, orchestration, and music production with Award Winner Composer Leon Willett (Spain).

He has taken courses on Orchestration and Arrangement with Grammy Award Winner Composer, Orchestrator & Arranger Mario Santos, and Hollywood Orchestrator Steven Scott Smalley.
