My name is Pavlo Petrychenko. I am a composer, pianist, and singer, life of whom was split into before and after Russian invasion of Ukraine, of my home. I was pushed to evacuate to Great Britain, where with knowledge and experience as a musician, I became determined to create and compose music that will tell meaningful stories, offering audiences around the world an opportunities to see, hear, and experience, what they will remember for years to come.
Eager to deepen my expertise, I had the privilege of studying privately with renowned media orchestrator and composer, professor Mike Ladouceur, who teaches at the Royal College of Music and the University of Cambridge. Through this mentorship, I gained valuable insights into film scoring and the nuances of the media music industry. To date, I have composed 25 pieces of music, including works for short films, film rescores, orchestras, choirs, multi-instrumental ensembles, piano, and voice.
In 2024, I was honored to win the prestigious Dr. Mathew Knowles Competition, judged by Beyoncé's father, Dr. Mathew Knowles himself. Additionally, my composition "Until the Win" earned a Third Prize Certificate in the MAP International Music Competition, and I received an Honorable Mention in The 1st Machang International Animation Music Composer Competition.
