A Berklee College of Music graduate in Film Scoring, he began his career composing for global brands including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Ford, Dodge, and American Airlines before moving into film and television.

He is best known for scoring the Academy Award–winning animated short "The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore", a dialogue-free film carried entirely by music, as well as Dolby’s Emmy-winning "Silent", created to showcase the immersive power of Dolby Atmos.
