Makena Metz is a Writer & Songwriter for the Page, Screen, and Stage. She is a musical wildcard who writes songs for animation, musical theatre, and sync. Makena is a proud member of The Dramatist Guild, ASCAP, Women in Animation, Maestra Music, the Alliance for Women Film Composers, the Songwriters of North America, and the Society of Composers & Lyricists. Also, her debut musical comedy EP "Songs for My Therapist" began releasing in 2025, and the rest of the tracks are upcoming in 2026!

This year, Makena was selected for the RAMPD x Concord Music Songwriting Camp and is attending the upcoming VIFF Music in Media summit as an AMP cohort member. She is an alumni of the SCL’s LA mentorship program, the Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriting Intensive, and the Paramount/MTV Entertainment Group First Time Composers Program. Her songs have been featured on the Emmy winning Disney+ show Hamster & Gretel and are upcoming in Disney Jr.'s Mickey Mouse Funhouse.
