The daughter of Vietnamese refugees, her work in film music is intertwined with an interest in the humanities. She is the composer of Sunflower Girl directed by Holly Kaplan which was chosen for NALIP Latino Lens: Narrative Short Film Incubator for Women of Color. In addition, Kristine has composed original scores for several films including a feature documentary bringing awareness to anti-AAPI hate currently in post-production.
In addition to composing and producing original film scores, Kristine has composed music for music companies Bleeding Fingers, Yessian, and Assemble Sound, and has worked with composers Jacob Yoffee & Roahn Hylton (The Wonder Years, Bel-Air) as part of the music team for the upcoming feature film Tapawingo. She was selected for ASCAP/Columbia University Film Scoring Workshop’s Composer Spotlight and Game Audio Network Guild's Scholars Program.
Kristine holds a Masters of Music in Music Theory and Composition: Screen Scoring from New York University (’23) and studied screen scoring at Juilliard Evening and participated in NYU/BMI's Television Scoring Workshop. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine and worked for several years in multimedia journalism (OC Weekly, NBC) before pursuing her passion for music, film, and media.
