Biography

Karlie Xiong is a composer and vocalist from Chengdu, China, whose music blends the poetic lyricism of her cultural roots with the emotional depth of contemporary film scoring. Based between Boston and Los Angeles, she is a graduate of Berklee College of Music’s Film Scoring program, where she developed her distinctive voice as both a storyteller and artist.

Her work is characterized by expressive melodies, rich cinematic textures, and a deep sensitivity to narrative, bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions. Recognized for her artistic vision and dedication to craft, Karlie was awarded the prestigious Georges Delerue Memorial Scholarship in Fall 2025 — one of Berklee’s highest honors for emerging film composers.
