Biography

James Morris is a Cardiff-based composer for film, television, and commercial media. His recent work includes broadcast commissions for BBC and S4C, an editorial documentary for The Guardian, and commercial campaigns for international brands including Princess Cruises and Life Fitness.

James scores BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying films and has composed for BAFTA Cymru-nominated series. His practice in music therapy informs his collaborative, character-focused approach to composition, blending electronic and acoustic elements to create scores that serve story and emotional narrative. Through his production company Splonk, he develops projects that merge his compositional craft with his understanding of how music connects with audiences.
