Biography

Danial Sheibani is an Iranian-Canadian composer, conductor, and founder recognized by CBC's 30 Under 30 Classical Musicians as an emerging voice in contemporary music. His work spans broadcast television and concert halls, from scoring an Amazon Prime series to receiving a touring commission from the National Youth Orchestra of Canada performed at Koerner Hall and Winspear Centre under Philadelphia Orchestra assistant conductor Naomi Woo. A 5x SOCAN Award winner and recipient of the University of Toronto's Carolyn and Robert Lake Award, he has received over $40,000 in competitive Canadian and American scholarships.

Sheibani is the founder of Cuenion, a media composer agency building a roster rooted in contemporary classical music, and co-founder of Sonaria Media, an international scoring production company with active contracts across North America and Europe. He also co-founded the Blank Canvas Sound Collective, serving as conductor and Director of Finance.

His compositions have been performed by leading ensembles at major venues and festivals including the Norfolk New Music Festival, Lake George Music Festival, and Harbourfront Centre, and broadcast by the CBC. He studied composition at the University of Toronto under Christos Hatzis, and received mentorship from Richard Danielpour, David Serkin Ludwig, Dean of Music at the Juilliard School, and leading composers including Ana Sokolović, Reza Vali, and Martin Bresnick.
