Award winning and innovative composer, Woody Pak creates music for film, commercials, the metaverse and XR, pop music, musical theater and concert performances. He draws from an array of influences and tells musical stories while combining different genres from rock, hip hop, jazz, Korean traditional music (gugak), classical and a multitude of other inspirations. Woody grew up in Hawaii and is a graduate of MIT and The Juilliard School of Music. He is a PhD Candidate on leave in Korean Traditional Composition (국악 작곡) at Hanyang University. He is a recipient of the 2021 BMI Film Music Award, 2015 Best Musical Composer award for Korea's Musical Awards, and best score for Black Picket Fence in 2001 Brooklyn International Film Festival. Woody was a professor of Applied Music at the Seoul Institute of the Arts for almost a decade (2013-2022) and currently a professor of Film Scoring at the Berklee College of Music since 2022.
