Biography

Hello, my name is Hyereem Son, and thank you for visiting my page! I am a composer for film, television, and video games, currently studying at the USC Screen Scoring class of 2023. I was born and raised in South Korea, where I graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts. Later, I attended Berklee College of Music to study film scoring, and now I am based in Los Angeles

I mainly specialize in composing contemporary music and playing the piano. As a member of the Korean Music Copyright Association, I have performed in many events and have composed music for several Korean short films. I also participated in a short documentary film called "Cuban Earth," which won an award in 2020.

The mark of a truly successful musician extends beyond just music. A successful musician is able to integrate music with other forms of art, which is why I am eager to collaborate with artists from various fields. In particular, I am excited about the prospect of working with filmmakers!
