PAST WORKS

MutAction is a work based on the dialogue between music dance and cinema. During the performance the drums, as a performative element and performance itself, have the dancer's body on stage as its correspondand, subjected to its rhythmic laws. Music becomes a narration of events, during which the body embodies the dynamics of several different characters, embracing the impossibility of identifying with one single individual. The music is composed exclusively for the piece: it is based on the principle of the body as the first generator of sound. In its continuous making and unmaking, the performance is structured around questions such as: "when are we real on stage: when do we perform or when do we appear not to?”

Inspired by the movie “Holy Motors”, the drumset become a limousine, a dressing room moving through a caotic city, driving thr actor towards the next character awaiting to be portrayed.
