The Composer.

Jaimie Pangan is a music composer for film, TV, and video games, based in the US. Originally hailing from the Philippines, she loves experimenting string sounds with electronic elements and creates hybrid ambient textures that blend with cinematic drama. Prior to pursuing music, Jaimie worked at IBM Philippines as an Information Technology Specialist and has obtained a patent for an AI hit song generator their team developed with IBM Japan and Singapore. After three (3) years in the tech industry, she transitioned to music and earned a Master of Music in Screen Scoring from the prestigious University of Southern California. Her musical achievements include being nominated for the Hollywood in Music Media Awards and International Sound and Film Music Festival, and was featured in major publications such as Inquirer.net, The Manila Times and When In Manila.

Her credits include original music for projects that have appeared at Academy Award-qualifying film festivals such as LA Shorts, The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase. She has also contributed to productions through music departments of major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. She has also worked alongside Emmy award-winning composer Kris Bowers as a music librarian for the series "When They See Us", and with Emmy-nominated composer Nathan Matthew David on a range of projects for Netflix, National Geographic and independent films.

She has also co-created two culturally authentic sample packs for leading music creation software Splice in collaboration with musicians across Asia. A Voting Member of the Recording Academy, GRAMMY NEXT alumna, and BAFTA Connect member, Jaimie served as a juror for the 2024 and 2025 Annie Awards. She is also a member of the Game Audio Network Guild, the Alliance of for Women Film Composers, where she serves as the Graphics Administrative Leader, and the Society of Composers & Lyricists. She just finished working on the music for the Netflix Philippines Originals Feature Film, "Ganito, Ganyan, Ganoon" slated to be released in August 2026.

In her free time, she loves reading, dyeing her hair, journaling, hanging out with family and their golden doodle, and playing Pokémon, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. As a fan of Japanese culture for the past 20 years, she is currently learning the shamisen under the instruction of famed shamisen player, Sayo Komada.
