Richie Hernández is a Mexican/American music producer who works as a recording, mixing and mastering engineer, as well as a composer and musician, performing with electric bass, guitar, piano and vocals. Currently a student for a PhD in Licenciatura de Tecnología y Producción Musical  in Tecnológico de Monterrey, to be graduated by late 2024.

Productions by Mechanical Head specialize in hybrids of electronic, rock and jazz, crafting identities inspired by the music and fashion of the late 20th Century and continuing to push current boundaries, blending the strengths of many sub-genres and treating them with the seriousness they deserve.

Some of the projects include the up-and-coming electro-rock band MechanizeD  for production, synths, bass and vocals, which also features drummer Jorge Viruete and guitarist Hugo Seyffert. Other projects include indie rock band Distrito 11 as a recording engineer and bass player.
