Richie Hernández is a Mexican/American music producer who works as a recording, mixing and mastering engineer, as well as a composer and musician, performing with electric bass, guitar, piano and vocals. Counting with a bachelor's degree in Tecnología y Producción Musical @ Tecnológico de Monterrey, granted with an honorific mention for highest grades in class.

Productions by Mechanical Head specialize in hybrids of electronic, rock and jazz with progressive influences, crafting identities inspired by the music and fashion of the late 20th Century, blending the strengths of many sub-genres of the time and treating them with the respect they deserve.

Some of the projects include the up-and-coming electro-rock band MechanizeD  for production, synths and vocals. Other projects include indie rock band Distrito 11 as a bass player and recording engineer; Marea Roja as a bass player; and other collaborations with local talent such as Falconica and Isla en el Desierto.
