Media Composer/Orchestrator/Synth Programmer
Shengyuan (Eric) Li is a composer, orchestrator and music producer from Shanghai and currently based in Los Angeles, working across film, animation, and games. Eric's music blends orchestral scoring with electronic production and world influences, drawing on his background as both a percussionist and pianist. He is knowna s the composer for the multi-award-winning anime film "Sue's Art". He also collaborated with major brands including Bilibili, TAL, and Line Friends.
Eric’s works have been recognized with multiple international awards. He is the First Prize Winner of the 2023 Indie Film Music Contest, and also received the First Prize in the 6th Xunguang Microcosm Competition, winning a $40,000 award. Additionally, he was a Finalist in the 2023 Berlin International Film Scoring Competition and received 4th Place in the 2022 Leicine Film Scoring Competition.
Eric studied Technology and Applied Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, later earning his Master’s in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California, where he further honed his craft in hybrid scoring and music production.
Outside of composing, Eric enjoys creating electronic music and performing percussion and piano. He is also a basketball and soccer enthusiast, and an avid gamer, with Apex Legends and Monster Hunter among his favorites.
