After backing artists such as Kacey Musgraves and Bastille, Jenn Mundia felt the call to go full time with her vision as an artist and began her journey as Esabalu.
Esabalu is the village in western Kenya where the artist's father was raised and where her grandmother still lives to this day. Esabalu, which fittingly lies on the Equator line, is a center of inspiration for her family—a place where her ancestors nurtured the soil and prepared the grounds for generations of abundance. Esabalu was spoken of as "a place of spirituality where people discover they are meant for a higher calling... the foundation on which people meet before they go out to do great things." Esabalu and her family run The Mundia Academy of Excellence, for children in the village who are orphaned or who’s parents cannot afford school fees.
Since it's inception, "Esabalu" she has been featured in the New York Time’s “The Daily’s” Summer Playlist with her debut single, “Wildfire,” (which she paired with a DIY music video), and has been featured in countless tv shows. She is currently working on a full length album. Stay tuned!
