Biography
Dave LaGrande is a composer, orchestrator, arranger, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans feature film, animation, television, concert music, educational media, commercial recordings, and live performance.
His original music has been featured in independent films, children’s programming, contemporary dance productions, educational publications, commissioned concert works, and television placements, including music used by Comedy Central, WWE, and reality television programs such as Love After Lockup. He has also created horn, string, and orchestral arrangements for recording artists, live productions, and large and small ensembles.
Dave’s approach combines traditional orchestration with modern production techniques, allowing him to develop projects from an initial piano sketch, demo, or thematic idea into polished mockups, performance-ready scores, and fully realized musical productions.
In addition to his work as a composer and arranger, Dave has built an extensive career as a saxophonist and keyboardist, performing throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. His performance credits include work with Sister Hazel, Jelly Roll, John Berry, Heidi Newfield, Shaun Murphy, Tiffany, and other national touring artists.
He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in Orchestration for Film, Television, and Games from the University of Chichester in England.
