Dave LaGrande is a U.S.-based composer, arranger, orchestrator, producer, and multi-instrumentalist creating original music for film, television, animation, educational media, and collaborative arts projects.

His work includes the feature film The Legend of Lake Hollow (2024), animated series including Tom the Tow Truck and Robofuse (Roku / YouTube), commissioned projects for StoryGive and the Nashville Filmmakers Guild, and contemporary dance collaborations including State of Wonder with Danscompany of Gainesville. He is also active in educational media as a composer and producer for the nationally distributed Superkids Reading Program curriculum through Zaner-Bloser.

Dave’s music has received international sync placements across Europe, Asia, and Australia, in addition to placements on major U.S. outlets including Comedy Central and WWE. His work spans cinematic orchestration, hybrid scoring, thematic composition, educational music, and contemporary production across a wide range of styles and formats.

Having spent nearly 15 years based in Nashville, TN, Dave built a diverse professional background balancing touring, recording, arranging, composing, and live production. Most notably, he served as a longtime keyboardist and saxophonist for the platinum-selling band Sister Hazel from 2012–2023.

That broad real-world industry experience continues to shape his approach as a composer and collaborator. In addition to writing music, Dave brings an understanding of production environments, communication, pacing, creative problem solving, and collaboration developed through years of working with directors, producers, performers, educators, venue teams, and clients across many different types of projects and personalities.

Known for being adaptable, professional, and easy to work with, Dave approaches each project with a focus on serving the story, supporting the creative vision, and creating music that enhances emotional impact while remaining emotionally and stylistically connected to the work itself.

Working from his Florida-based studio, Dave continues to pursue composing, arranging, orchestration, and collaborative scoring opportunities across film, television, media, live productions, and creative arts projects.
