Biography
Hunter Hanson is a composer and sound designer based in New York City whose musical interests lie primarily in discovering new sound worlds for every project he scores, blending traditional orchestration with avant garde compositional techniques, electronics, and good old fashioned rock and roll. He received his bachelor’s in composition from Northwestern University and his master’s in Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt, where he is now an adjunct instructor and administrator in the Screen Scoring program.
In addition to scoring and sound designing, Hunter works as a freelance assistant to composers in NYC. He is also a member of the band Gregular.
