Biography

Chris is a UK-based Composer & Sound Designer specialising in video game audio. He is a multi-instrumentalist honing his skills on Piano, Guitar and more recently, accumulating deep synthesis knowledge. Working from his home studio, he has experience delivering pro audio to clients across the globe. He is currently studying a Masters degree in Composing for Video Games at the University of Chichester in conjunction withThinkSpace Education, achieving distinctions in his work thus far.

Chris learnt piano at the age 4 by his parents, and whilst reluctant at the time, grew to be incredibly thankful to have music introduced to him at such an early age. In his youth, he picked up the guitar, spending that time in several rock bands. In the current era however, synthesis and orchestral work for video games has been his sole focus over the last 5 years. Video games are huge passion of his, spending the majority of his life obsessed with games and their soundtracks. The music in games has become the soundtrack to his life, helping him shape his audio identity today. Having spent a number of years working in IT, Chris decided to align his passion of music and games into a profession. In 2017, he also started releasing space ambient music under the artist name “Ion Stream”, influenced by his favourite Sci-Fi video games. Ion Stream can be found on all major streaming platforms.
