Biography

Mark is a freelance composer focused primarily on video games and theatre, with a background as a classically trained pianist from the Royal Academy of Music. He holds a MA (Distinction) in Orchestration for Film, Games and TV from Thinkspace Education (Chichester University) and a BSc in Computer Science from Clare College (University of Cambridge). Mark is a BAFTA Games Connect member and is represented by The Composerworks.

His latest work is the soundtrack for Pégases winning and Gamescom nominated Empire of the Ants by Tower Five (published by Microids). Since 2015, he's also served as Resident Composer at Whole Hog Theatre, which predominantly draws from Japanese source material to create innovative anime-to-stage productions. He received an Offies nomination in 2023 for their latest adaptation, The Garden of Words, a film conjured up by one of anime's most beloved directors, Makoto Shinkai.

In 2024, Mark was commissioned by Borislav Slavov to create a piano arrangement of Down By The River for the Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition Vinyl OST. He has been nominated twice for a Game Music Remix Award (2021, 2023) for his arrangements and performances of video game music; additionally, he won the Quarantets competition hosted by the Videri String Quartet during the pandemic in 2020. He is also an arranger for both the London and Virtual Video Game Orchestras.
