Yi-Hsuan Liu is a composer and music editor from Taiwan. Her recent works include "The Uniform" (music arranger) and "A Place Called Silence" (music assistant, score preparation), both nominated for the Busan International Film Festival. She also worked on the short documentary "Look Up" and the feature film "Chaotic Justice," which won Best Original Score at the Fox International Film Festival.
Her eclectic and versatile music, incorporating both orchestral and electronic/sound design elements, can be also found in projects such as the drama short film Knotted Fate (awarded "New Feature Short Film at the MFF Kylin), the fashion show Let Me See Sea (nominated Best Music Design at the Youth Innovation Design Festival) and the HBO Asia's Trinity of Shadows (additional music).
Yi-Hsuan did music editing for Sound of Freedom with Hollywood music editor Nick South and assistant with Taiwanese composer Sing Wu in TV series such as HBO Asia's Trinity of Shadows (for which she also wrote additional music), Psychologist and The Summer Temple Fair as well as the feature films A Place Called Silence (premiered at the Busan International Film Festival) and The Rope Curse 3 (Netflix). Yi-Hsuan is also a game audio supervisor and audio lead at Gamania, one of the most important Taiwanese video game companies and has been involved with many developing projects including the recently released Chibi Maruko-chan Match Puzzle.
She graduated from Berklee College of Music with a dual major in Film Scoring and Jazz Composition and has a master degree at the USC Thornton School of Music Screen Scoring program as a Nordstrom Family Scholarship and Taiwan Government Scholarship recipient.
