Rodrigo Ponce is a Peruvian, New York–based guitarist, composer, and orchestrator for film and visual media. He has collaborated with directors in the U.S. and internationally across dozens of narrative, documentary, animation, and game projects. His work is centered on storytelling, crafting distinctive musical identities that deepen emotional impact and support each project’s dramatic arc.

Blending orchestral writing, sound design, and modern production, Rodrigo has orchestrated and recorded with professional ensembles including the San Agustín University Symphony Orchestra, Sinfoni, and the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. His musical voice draws from the symphonic tradition while integrating jazz, Brazilian, rock, and Afro-Peruvian influences.

A recipient of the prestigious Alan Menken Scholarship, the Production Music Association Scholarship, and NYU’s Global Citizen Scholarship, Rodrigo holds a Master’s degree in Screen Scoring from NYU Steinhardt. His international training also includes studies at Souza Lima & Berklee in Brazil and a BA (Hons) in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance from Dublin City University/Newpark in Ireland
