Rodrigo Ponce is a New York–based composer and guitarist for film and visual media. He collaborates with directors and game developers in NYC and internationally across several dozen narrative and documentary projects, including short films, feature films, and video games. His work is rooted in storytelling, crafting distinctive musical identities that deepen emotional impact and support each dramatic arc.

Blending orchestral writing, sound design, and modern production, Rodrigo has orchestrated and recorded with professional ensembles including the San Agustin University Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta de Camaná, Symphony Orchestra "Sinfoni", and the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. His musical voice draws from the symphonic tradition while integrating jazz, Brazilian, rock, and Afro-Peruvian influences, creating a rich and versatile sonic palette.

A recipient of the renowned Alan Menken Scholarship and NYU’s Global Citizen Scholarship, Rodrigo is completing his Master’s degree in Screen Scoring at New York University. His international training includes studies at the Faculty of Souza Lima & Berklee in Brazil and a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Music from Dublin City University, Ireland.
