Biography
Spencer “Vera” Koeller is a composer specializing in music for video games and film, with a distinct focus on crafting immersive moods and musical environments that exist under the scene. Rather than overpowering a scene, Vera’s music is designed to support, enhance, and emotionally ground the scene in which it exists.
Vera began studying composition in 2018, initially writing for small high school ensembles and developing a strong foundation in orchestration and working with live musicians. In 2023, Vera began formal music studies at Riverside City College, where they studied composition and music technology under Steven Schmidt, Jennifer Amaya, and Joe Alfuso. These studies taught Vera both traditional compositional techniques and modern production workflows.
In 2026, Vera will begin studies at the UCLA Film Scoring Program, further refining their craft in cinematic storytelling and interactive scoring.
