Excerpts from trailer music I have written in the past year!

Trailer Music
Sahara

This piece was inspired by Dune, it could be used in the trailer for Dune 2 as that one was a lot more action focused and this is a high intensity track.
Fall
0:28
For this piece, I imagined a movie that starts out in a blissful peace which is quickly interrupted by a disaster. This is followed by a triumphant retaliation but ends with the cold, dark reality that what is lost cannot be fully regained.
New Dawn

Biography

Jacob Kitchen is a composer, producer, saxophonist, and vocalist based in Houston, Texas. Hailing from Nashville, he was surrounded by lots of music form a young age and grew up in the jazz scene there. Using this as a foundation, he fuses the intricacy and harmony of jazz with other styles to create fresh, modern takes in his compositions.

His musical influences range from genres such as J-pop and K-pop to Classical, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Rock music. This is made evident in his compositions, as he isn't constrained to one genre but can write in many and excels in fusing them together.

Having recently graduated from Berklee College of Music under a full tuition scholarship, he is currently pursuing a career in media scoring and composition. His first official short film he scored, "Lac-Date", was a Best Romantic Comedy Film Award Finalist at the Summer 2023 Austin Comedy Film Festival and an Official Selection in the 2023 Nashville Film Festival. He is currently working on a few more upcoming short films and is excited to share those with the world.
