Julia Henderson is a Canadian-born soprano, multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, and audio engineer. With a Bachelor's in Classical Voice Performance, and a Master’s degree in Music Technology and Digital Media, Julia combines her skills to arrange, record, and mix music from and for a growing variety of video game franchises.
As a classically-trained opera singer, Julia is right at home performing both solo classical and choral compositions. Where her heart truly lies, though, is when she's performing contemporary genres such as Jazz, Soul/R&B, Rock, and Pop.
As a recording artist, Julia has been featured on video games such as Vampire Survivors, has performed on 26 albums, released three officially-licensed solo EPs, and has published over 70 music videos on YouTube. Since 2017, Julia has been nominated eight times for the Game Music Remix Awards (GMRA) in various musical genre categories. In 2019, she won best arrangement in both the Hybrid and Vocal categories.
Julia is certified English/French Bilingual and is trained in lyric diction for many other languages such as Japanese, Italian, German, Russian, Finnish, and Swedish. Having facility with multiple languages has helped her craft conlangs which have served to deepen connections to a game's world through lyrics.
Julia has already been fortunate enough to collaborate with several incredible composers, artists, and friends within the Game Audio community and thinks that music is at its best when made with others.
