Mason Windley
FILM AND MEDIA COMPOSER | ARTIST
BIO

From Hampton Roads, VA, composer Mason Windley writes lyrical and emotive compositions taking inspiration from Romantic Era orchestral music, modern Japanese composers, and his own roots of Black American Music. He currently studies Film and Media Scoring at the Berklee College of Music while working extracurricularly with both his peers and more experienced colleagues as a composer, arranger and live and recording instrumentalist.

As a part of an ongoing project entitled "WISDOM", he is currently curating and scoring a collection of interviews from iconic and influential Black American leaders from various cultural and political movements. The musical landscape aims to blend romantic orchestration with sounds from the Diasporic music tradition; so far he has scored lectures and interviews of Maya Angelou, Angela Davis, and Kwame Ture (formerly Stokely Carmichael).
