


Rike Huy is a genre-fluid trumpet player and film composer based in Berlin. As a trumpet player, she has collaborated with a diverse range of artists and ensembles, including PEACHES, Ensemble Modern, Yael Bartana, and Malakoff Kowalski. Her solo work has seen her perform as support act alongside Hauschka (Volker Bertelmann). Rike Huy studied with Heiner Goebbels and was a member of the Female Producer Collective. Her composition spans work for sound installations, soundwalks, concert music, and a TikTok opera. She began film scoring in 2020 with her wife Lisa Friederich’s debut feature film “Live“. Since then, Rike Huy has been writing music for German and international arthouse features, short films, and German television, with premieres at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Prize and the Berlinale.
