Biography

Michael Sutherland is a Los Angeles-based composer for film, television, games, and other media. With a passion for storytelling through music, he crafts scores that enhance the emotional depth of every project. Combining expertise in composition and technology, his work often bridges the gap between traditional and modern soundscapes.

Michael holds a Master’s degree in Screen Scoring from USC and has composed for a wide range of projects, from independent films to major corporate clients. His credits include Seasick Crocodile's TV series Parallel (2025) on Amazon Prime, work with Nike, KURO Games, and various game and media companies. His ability to adapt across genres has made him a sought-after composer in both Western and international markets.

In addition to his experience in Hollywood, Michael is signed to the Japanese agency Legendoor, where he collaborates with directors on live-action and animated projects. With a minor in Japanese Language from FSU - one of the top programs in the field - he brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to his work, helping to bridge creative and linguistic barriers in global productions.
