Lauren Kott (23) is a Composer, Sound Designer, and Implementor for games and other interactive media. Lauren moved from home, Seattle, and began her game audio studies at Berklee College of Music in 2018, where she received her B.A. in Film Scoring and a minor in Game Audio and is currently finishing her M.M. in Screen Scoring at the University of Southern California. Lauren has been the recipient of the Berklee Women in Game Audio Scholarship and has served as a Berklee GAIMS tutor. Most recently, Lauren has been selected as one of the 2023 G.A.N.G scholars.
Lauren's goal with interactive media is to bring music interactivity to the beginning of developmental conversations. By working with USC, University of Utah, Berklee College, and Champlain, she has had the opportunity to propose audio system designs before development and has been able to study the process of designing, composing, and implementing from the the early conversations, to the shipped results. Lauren one day hopes to be a composer and audio director in the gaming industry.
