
Christian Won is a 19-year-old Korean American pianist and composer based in Kansas City. He specializes in composing classical music and film/game scores. Christian has already built a strong record of accomplishments and collaborations. At age 12 he studied composition under Doctor Robert Weirich and has been self taught for during his high school years. Currently, he studies piano with Stanislav Ioudenitch and composition with Soomin Kim at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He has received numerous recognitions, including first prize in the MTNA Composition Competition for the state of Kansas and Honorable Mention in the West Central Division twice. Christian has had compositions premiered at concerts at the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory of music. He has also collaborated with several orchestras. Christian’s “iPhone Variations for Orchestra” was premiered by the Annapolis Symphony under the baton of Maestro José-Luis Novo in August 2024. The Chesco Pops Orchestra, under the baton of Joe Gehring, also performed “iPhone Variations for Orchestra” in October 2025. Christian has also participated in numerous film score competitions, ranking as a finalist multiple times. He is currently working on the soundtrack for “Lair of the Leviathan,” an upcoming video game by Whiskey Barrel studios and Nostalgic realms. Christian maintains an activem growing presence on social media where he has hit over seven million views on a single instagram reel.
