Biography

Dan Myers is a composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and educator whose music has been featured in major motion pictures, animated films, television series, and international advertising campaigns. Raised in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, he currently serves as Associate Professor of Commercial Music at Tiffin University.

A longtime member of Gary Sinise’s Lt. Dan Band, Dan has performed around the world, including appearances with Charlie Daniels at the Kennedy Center and concert tours for U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Kuwait. He has also recorded and toured nationally with the indie-folk band Stolen Silver and has been featured in The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, American Way, and WGN.

With John Ovnik of Deaf Dog Music in Chicago, Dan writes, arranges, and produces contemporary music across genres. His recent credits include composing the "Let's Go Places" mnemonic for Toyota’s international advertising campaign.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University and an MFA in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College Chicago.
