While reading The Iron Dreamers, my head began to fill with thematic material that I felt encapsulated the struggle of Lexi and her Senex counterparts as they met head first with questions about free will, the uncertainty of their survival, and the perils of space travel. In this future isolated society, what does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be functionally immortal? Where does the machine end and the person begin?

I tried to capture these warring sides by combining something very Earthy...something of the forest, and something cold and calculating, like electronic sounds. I chose to use a Bulgarian women's choir as a main feature of the human sound. It's ancient, driving, and has such a ferocious spirit. With this I mixed synthesizers that I felt relayed a sense of wonder and gravitas to create a hard, electronic sound that would come to be what the Senex might identify more with. To help bridge the gap between the two sides, I decided to use one of the greatest human musical inventions - the orchestra. Every person is a single bit, but they all must work together - like in Beta - to complete their task.

I hope you enjoy listening to what I've composed, and I can't wait for the next release in the series!

About Me

I believe music is the emotional heartbeat of storytelling, part of an intricate web of sensory pathways that connect viewers to a narrative on a visceral level. As a composer for film and TV, my mission is to craft evocative, immersive scores that amplify these connections, transforming visual stories into unforgettable, multi-dimensional experiences. By blending creativity with collaboration, I strive to breathe life into every project, creating music that not only complements the story but becomes an integral part of its DNA.
