Andrew Cottee’s diverse list of credits include collaborations with Disney, NBCUniversal, Paul McCartney, Quincy Jones, and Seth MacFarlane.
Andrew wrote original music for the Fox/Hulu TV series The Orville, which was awarded Best Original Score for Television by the International Film Music Critics Association. He has contributed arrangements to the Universal Pictures film Sing, and to TV series Family Guy and Ted. Album releases include Paul McCartney’s Ocean’s Kingdom, Andrew Lloyd Webber Symphonic Suites, and multiple recordings for Seth MacFarlane, including the Christmas album We Wish You The Merriest with Liz Gillies.
Live performances of Andrew’s arrangements include the BBC Proms, Ravinia Festival, and the Broadway production of An American in Paris. He orchestrated the music of computer game veteran Nobuo Uematsu for the symphonic story Merregnon: Heart of Ice. As a conductor he has appeared with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, and on numerous studio recordings in London and Los Angeles.
In 2018 he formed the production company Dream Town Music with producer Tom Croxon. Drawing on their combined expertise they have recorded many soundtracks for Walt Disney Imagineering, played at theme parks worldwide. Other productions include NBC’s Upfront show at Radio City Music Hall, Apple TV’s Carpool Karaoke, and the live show Swingin’ Christmas at the Barbican Centre London.
Andrew trained as a percussionist at the Royal College of Music in London, and has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and London Sinfonietta.
