Biography

Jeff and David combine two sets of diverse skills that complement each other to create a unique musical partnership.

David Tobin

David is a classically trained musician with an acclaimed track record as a composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor. He is a member of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and a member of the Ivors Academy of Composers and Songwriters. He has 20 years of credits in film, TV and theatre, in the UK and the U.S.

Credits include Daughter of the Bride, This is Us & Ghosts. Documentary credits include Supersize Me 2, Isolation Stories and Treasures of the World (Bettany Hughes).  David is a regular face at many famous studios including Abbey Road and Air Studios. His orchestrations have been played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Session Orchestra and orchestras across Europe. He's also a regular attendee of film and documentary festivals in the UK.

In addition, David is also a gifted woodwind player, with a specialism in ancient instruments.

Jeff Meegan

Emmy-winner Jeff is a talented vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer with 20 years' experience writing for film and TV.

As a trusted composer in a wide range of musical styles, his music has been played by The Boston Pops, the Royal Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony and the Houston Symphony orchestras, among others. His career has seen him build working relationships in London, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Nashville, underpinned by a reputation for being easy to work with, and a commitment to excellence.

His composition 'Grateful For It All' for The Young And The Restless, won the 2022 Emmy for Outstanding Original Song. He admits to an addiction to intriguing melodies and a commitment to the principle of keeping things simple.

Working together

David and Jeff began working together in 2010. They cut their teeth on classic BBC Radio dramas including The Count Of Monte Cristo, The Barchester Chronicles, and Emil Zola's Blood Sex Money. 

They have scored and composed for documentaries for film and TV including Super Size Me 2, Bettany Hughes' Treasures Of The World and Multiple Geoffrey Baer PBS documentaries in the US.

They have written more than 1,000 works together for an enviable client list including BBC, HBO, Audio Network, ITV and Samuel Goldwyn.

They most recently co-authored and mixed the score for Daughter Of The Bride with Academy award winner Marcia Gaye Harden and Aiden Quinn.

They have worked together in London, Chicago, New York, Nashville and New Orleans.
