Hi, I’m Joy!

I’m a music producer, film composer, and sound designer with a background in visual art and traditional filmmaking. Aside from releasing my own music under the name GOLDJOY, I’ve worked on narrative and experimental short films, commercial work, and hybrid AI films, blending traditional and emerging techniques in storytelling.

I specialize in crafting emotionally focused music and sound, regardless of genre, and approach every project from a storytelling perspective. My process begins with identifying the emotional core of the characters and narrative and building from there. I believe music and sound should interweave seamlessly to create immersive, resonant experiences for the audience.

I have comprehensive knowledge of field recording, live sound mixing, studio recording, sound art, foley, instrument performance, and music theory. With my multidisciplinary background, I have a unique perspective that unites genre and medium in a way that a standalone composer or sound designer would not be able to offer. My primary outlook is to stay curious, seek challenges, and capture new sounds.
